Sky View 11, Northridge 6: At St. George, Sky View sophomore Kayleigh Johnson went 4-for-4 with a home run and a double against Northridge Saturday to lead Sky View to an 11-6 victory. Sky View scored nine runs in the second and third innings, while Northridge scored all of its runs in the fifth inning.
Mountain Crest 7, West Jordan 5: At St. George, trailing West Jordan 5-2 in the bottom of the sixth Friday, Mountain Crest scored five runs - including a two-RBI double by junior Ashlee Murray and a two-RBI single by senior Joy Hanson - to earn a 7-5 victory. Sophomore Brooke Wurseen went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for the Mustangs.
Mountain Crest 10, Provo 9: At St. George, Mountain Crest took a 10-2 lead and then staved off a furious Provo rally to win 10-9 Friday. Provo scored charter seven runs in the bottom charter of the sixth and had runners on second and third with two outs, but Mountain Crest got out of the inning by forcing a pop-up in foul territory to senior third baseman Jaycie Peterson.
Layton 7, Mountain Crest 5: At St. George, trailing 7-5 in the sixth inning with one out and the bases loaded Saturday, Mountain Crest senior Jayce Peterson lined out to the pitcher and Lexie Lofthouse was doubled off at third base. Layton went on to win the 5-A/4-A March Warm-Up winners bracket. charter
Fremont 9, Viewmont 8: At St. George, Fremont and Viewmont combined for 27 hits with Fremont winning a slugfest 9-8 Saturday. Fremont won the game in the seventh charter on back-to-back RBI singles by sophomore McKenzie Call and junior Kelsee charter Bushell.
