Today, October 10, 2013, Aeroflot launched low-cost airline "Dobrolet". Initially it was the name of the Russian airline founded in 1923, a predecessor of today's Aeroflot. Vladimir Gorbunov was appointed general manager of Dobrolet. Dobrolet means "good tickets".
The new airline will be based on Moscow's Domodedovo airport. In the first year, Dobrolet will operate 8 aircraft, the future fleet will grow on average by 8 planes per year. We have used a single type of aircraft with a single aisle, being Boeing 737-800 Next Generation. All aircraft will be configured in a single class.
Operational plans will work shows that Dobrolet first flights in the spring of 2014. For starters, will fly to the most popular destinations in the European part of Russia. The prices of tickets will be on average about 40% lower compared to those of the competition.
