Alternative options are not giving the cashier to hand cards, only self-insertion into the terminal

I do not know if you know, but paying store your card for purchases as a matter of fact you show the cashier all the data required to pay for purchases in our online shop. That's quite a threat. How do you guard against mar it?
Suppose that someone has such a well-trained memory that is capable of at the time of receipt of the card to remember the 16 digit card number, name and expiration date. Then giving the card, I give her the other side of memorizing code (CVC or CVV).
To guard against this danger, the easiest way is to seal the CVC (or CVV) plaster or tape so that the code is not visible to the person holding the card in his hand.
Alternative options are not giving the cashier to hand cards, only self-insertion into the terminal, if there is a possibility to block the bank the possibility of making payments over the Internet
Glossary verification code CVC / CVV - it stands for card verification code or card verification value. This 3-digit code is used to verify whether a person who wants to pay the card is its owner.
